The Knowledge is Power

For us the most critical science areas that must be advanced are:

  1. Energy
  2. IT
  3. Biomedical
  4. Communications
  5. Nuclear

The Power of Internet

The current generation has learned to use the multitude of information resources available from internet - but we all must be aware including us that whatever we learn from the net is now coming from all kind of sources. The skillful mastering of english is no guarantee for the site to be reliable. The internet is a vast collage of information that is growing at exponential speed.

While some of the information in the web is more accurate than you can get from any of the text books, some is absolute garbage not worth your time. Here nobody but the reader, the listener or the watcher must be able to judge the value of whatever appears on the screen. Be aware that a skilled writer can fool most people believing that white is black instead of white.

To discover the truth is a skill that nobody can teach us - everything that we see can be totally accurate, a blatant lie or just something between. Our genes have nothing programmed on this high level, we must rely on what we had learned so far to navigate properly in this modern day jungle without cars, roads and bridges.

We can not stay away either as the most timely and accurate information in the world is already in the internet. The only problem is to find it!

This internet world is however not totally different. Most information that we learn in classrooms is likely correct and truthful to the best knowledge of the writers at the accepting inspectors and boards but there is no guarantee that it is actually any more a correct view some fifty years later.

When we were growing as children everything was relatively easy at the beginning. We learned by experimenting what to do and what not to do, what was right and what was wrong. Our first challenge was to smile to be smiled back. The came turning, crawling, standing and walking. This all was preprogrammed into our genes and we would have learned them all without anybody around if we just had stayed warm and got food and water when we needed.

We learned the difference between hot and cold and the impact of sharp and dull objects. The next challenge was to learn "survival" in a group with other children. Then came school, etc... These all were still highly protected environments where our parents, sisters, brothers, relatives and teachers were looking after us. The school was still challenging to all as it slowly dawned to us that we all were actually a little different. Some where physically talented in sports, some in music, some in art, some in physics, some in math, some as orators and some as debaters, etc... And what was strange these differences were just growing.

The school was the place where the requirements of the society around started interfering. The society needs people with different skill sets and the school systems everywhere are build to root them out. It is very simple process. At the beginning new information that we are supposed to lear is fed us like in small water classes that we sip at our pleasure - this is the elementary school system. Then in the high school the new information arrival is slowly changed from a small flow in a garden hose to full blast whatever it can deliver - an this depends now also not from the students ability to absorb but also from the teachers ability to deliver. In any case the average flow will not pass the ability to everybody to absorb it. And when graduating at the end the society can use them all as they are to advance the well being of everyone. However, for some learning has turned to a thirst of more and more. For the the game on next level is totally different even as there are a huge number or levels they can continue.

Now the schools are different. the new information they must learn comes like from high pressure fire hoses day in day out. The professors here are highly skilled of their fields and strive to advance their fields forward by all possible mean, the most important being the financial support the society will give to them. Some students can absorb everything from this new flow level without any real problems while others give up and go back to the society at large. For some this phase in their life last 3 to 4 years while for some who's thirst continues it all may take 10 years or even more. From those on longest track some may become professors in their fields while most opt to go back to society at large. The society is willing to offer them leading development positions on their fields in a multitude of areas that might interest them. These people are the ones that with their new skills can advance the society the fastest way forward.

The game has now changed totally for everybody. The childhood is over and everyone must start "hunting" on their own to survive and even prosper. The society will help those who struggle in learning the until they get it. A tiny minority refusing to accept any rules that keep on harming the others, we incarcerate them first for a short time hoping that they finally learn the lessons that they should have learned even before they went to school. If they blatantly continue to misbehave we incarcerate them for longer and longer time periods until they die.

THose with most schooling use the Internet equally with the rest of us. They have one benefit over the majority, they can see quickly if what is on internet is worth their time while the rest must struggle more whenever they are looking for new information. However, the internet is no more information only, it is more and more for entertainment and socializing on global scale.

The internet will not loose any of the audience it has captured. The information that is there is more timely than anything we get from TV or radio, and as with inventions when the time is ripe and the information sphere around on issue complete enough new inventions will pop up in the minds who have a related problem at their hands. Here the internet is one of the keys to go forward. Such channels like U-Tube & al., have huge networks of information suppliers that do share what they have seen or done in instant videos advancing the knowledge of anyone who wants to venture here. Most there is honestly done and that is all what is needed. Some what we show on these pages are just "picked" from U-tube with credits to the makers.

Powers of Ten

This powers of then reveals the emptiness of it all, be it material world or the universe. If you watched the above the first part of this video is somewhat repetitive but the second part dives into the microscope and towards the individual atoms themselves and their building blocks. What are the atoms? Even they are built from still smaller particles, perhaps even from pure energy itself. As you may remember from the high school the sun light has a dual nature: a wave form and a particle form (photons) - so it seems. it can be broken to a colorful rainbow with any angled glass or prism. it rotates physically a black white "wind" mill inside a vacuum, it can also be stopped with two polarized lenses that are in 90 degree angle from each others. However, we can never see these photons. With this is only fair to conclude that the units we call atoms represent only a "frozen" form of energy!

Most people will never realize nor understand that the material world around us is just empty space like the whole universe. What we see and touch is just different colored energy fields. The only solid looking stuff we have found is in the nucleus of an atom and we know that that is not solid either.

What is the limit on the way down in scale? We have no idea as we have no means to see further down in dimensions. We have also another problem with everything in this atomic nucleus world. Nothing stays in one spot - everything is in constant motion or should we call everything is simply "alive".

Glass holds first and then leaks...

To illustrate a little more of this strange emptiness we can look how liquid Helium (very cold) behaves in a container when the temperature is approaching absolute zero. At this temperature it appears that all movement of particles will stop. We have never observed this temperature and will not be doing it any time soon either...
