Why Guerillas and Terrorists?

We the outsiders are sometimes attacked by foreign guerillas we call terrorists and that can be puzzling - or is it really? Our leaders tell us the ancient cliches like: these terrorists envy us and hate our way of life and want to kill us all, etc...! Why would they attack superior forces? That makes no sense, they just want to convey a message to us that we have refused to hear so far.

Who are these people? They are the members and leaders of the oppressed people that will emerge from shadows whenever oppression of the people has gone too far. They are finished with the forever lasting fruitless negotiations while huge injustices grow worse and worse by the day. Not a single government or politician outside will listen to them anyhow. At this stage nothing can stop guerilla movements and terrorism from emerging. The cruelty and random acts of terrorism increase steadily if the guerillas gain ground to the point that they impact the rulers and people of the major trading partners. The reason is simple, as long as the trade flourishes nobody will rock the boat and nothing can even change. Mahatma Gandhi's ways do not work with ruthless and lawless despots or oligarchs. Attacks to outsiders are a desperate plea for help when the business ties are so strong that they must just be cut off to prevent the ruling dictators from more than fully financing all their ways of life.

The terrorists not want to nuke anybody nor do they want to make mass murders inside any nations as it all would mean totall annihilation to their own nation. These guerillas and terrorists want to live a normal life like everybody else and have an opportunity to excel. They do not want any part of the the slavery under dictatorships nor oligarchy that is currently deciding everything essential in their lives.

The leaders of all guerilla movements understand this all, see through the smoke screens and luxury and know that there is another working class behind a curtain somewhere even in the richest country of the earth. They may have perceived wealth, but still they must sweat the same long hours for the system like workers everywhere. The workers in rich countries have a better life if measured with sports and entertainment just like in ancient Rome. But what is the life when this artificial on the surface great life style robs them and their children all the opportunities to progress?

The robbery is done so skillfully that most of those who are being robbed do not even realize it at all. Even the wealthiest democracies must be vigilant against their elected rulers that, not surprisingly, are always supported by the wealthiest industrialists in the country. The goal of these latter ones is to get the system running for them and to expand their own power and influence on the global theatre. And when they succeed the voters become slowly powerless slaves - they may be free but slaves they are (This is what Plato meant).

Today's FT (July 21) told a story: the former Prime Minister Tony Blair was warned by the Britain's Security Services that invading Iraq would mean increased terrorism threat to UK - not a surprise.

"Fifty years of lies, fifty years of injustice, fifty years of frustration. This is a history of people starving to death, living in misery. For fifty years the same people had all the power, all the money, all the jobs all the education, all the opportunities."-- Jose Napoleon Duarte, President of El Salvador 1980, on why guerrillas were fighting the government. The same process continues still in many of the developing countries while some of the developed ones are falling back towards the beginning of it all closing the circle that Plato described.

Osama bin Laden

Who was this character whom we have made immortal - here is what Wikipedia tells:

Osama bin Mohammed bin Awad bin Laden (with numerous variations; Arabic: أسامة بن محمد بن عوض بن لادن‎, Usāmah bin Muḥammad bin ‘Awaḍ bin Lādin; born March 10, 1957) is a member of the prominent Saudi bin Laden family and the founding leader of the terrorist organization al-Qaeda, best known for the September 11 attacks on the United States and numerous other mass-casualty attacks against civilian targets. Bin Laden is on the American Federal Bureau of Investigation's list of FBI Ten Most Wanted Fugitives.[1]

Since 2001, Osama bin Laden and his organization have been major targets of the United States' War on Terrorism. Bin Laden and fellow Al-Qaeda leaders are believed to be hiding near the border of Afghanistan and Pakistan's Federally Administered Tribal Areas.

Osama

The probability of him being alive is about the same as the space station alpha crashing to your living quarters next Sunday. The former Pakistani president already reported that he had died several years ago in the Afghanistan mountains. If anybody at all the Pakistani President at the time possessed the most accurate intelligence of that part of the world at the time. Unfortunately the political need having Osama still alive by far exceeds the need of reality as both sides of the conflict gain immensely from his taped messages.

Here is the latest of Osama's postmortem "speeches" produced either by Mossad or IDF as per the below published Russian intelligence analysis. In the future we may be flooded with this kind of tapes as inexpensive commercial software is available to give a desired voice to any speech that somebody is making:
